This webinar is hosted by the PTAB Bar Association Committee on Appeals from the PTAB and the Young Lawyers & Agents Committee.

Are you interested in clerking for the Federal Circuit, but are not exactly sure what it entails? Do you want to apply for a Federal Circuit clerkship, but don’t know where to start? Please join us for a conversation with recent Federal Circuit law clerks as they discuss the non-confidential aspects of their clerkship experience. Topics include their decision to clerk, the Federal Circuit’s unique jurisdiction, day-to-day tasks of a law clerk, tips for applying, and more.

Panelists: 
Khanh Leon is a litigation associate at O’Melveny & Myers LLP in the Washington, DC office. She primarily works on intellectual property and technology disputes and was a software engineer before she started law school. Khanh previously clerked for Judge Kara Stoll at the Federal Circuit and Judge Robert Schroeder III in the Eastern District of Texas. 

Alyssa Ertel is an associate at Groombridge, Wu, Baughman & Stone LLP in the Washington, DC office. She focuses on patent disputes and has a BS and MS in Chemistry. Alyssa previously clerked for Judges Leonard Stark and Todd Hughes at the Federal Circuit.  

Tiffany Weston is an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation group at Latham & Watkins LLP in the Washington, DC office. Prior to joining Latham, Tiffany was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, examining patents in medical diagnostics technology. She previously clerked for Chief Judge Kimberly Moore at the Federal Circuit. 

Moderator: 
Laura Vu is an associate in the Intellectual Property group at Haynes and Boone LLP in the San Francisco office. She previously clerked for Judge Raymond Chen of the Federal Circuit and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
